Spaceships in the Sky

from The Window Seat II by Adam Reczek

/

lyrics

I remember at night
Without a rain cloud in sight
It would still find means to fall
And not upset us at all

Spying the space ships on the darkest of nights
Flying so high, like dots of light in the sky
Stuck in a world run on broken egg timers
And totally free of fast-paced time

The world would be blessed to have seen such a way
To have seen random lights sending photons astray
While we lay in an open field

It’s only now that I notice the moon looks the same from both sides
Of the water of a lake
It’s only a mirror
Just from the other side
So it’s all the same for us all
