Window Seat

from The Window Seat II by Adam Reczek

lyrics

Lost and lonely are the days
Without here with me
And so the wise man says
Stuff this good just don’t grow on trees

And I have stood the test of time
I guess there’s not much else I can do
And I can feel your hand in mine
But I’m still miles away from you

From the window seat I see
The peaks turn from white to green
But at night the dark sky
Paints them both a shade in between

I just can’t put my mind to ease
When we’re living in days like these
But even the blind man will believe
When he picks up his hammer and sees

That it’s a long way down
From the high you to give me
And I can hear the sound
Your voice still echoes in my dreams

From the window seat I see
The peaks turn from white to green
But at night the dark sky
Paints them both a shade in between

In the window seat I ride
And sleep now until I arrive
It’s no surprise that glass is colder than the air inside

I’m gonns sleep now, until I awake to you
